WRITING TIPS
On their second day in class, my CALC students took a test on reading, listening and writing skills. I am really proud of their final score when reading... but I´m afraid their writing results were not very good. So, here are some tips for them to follow and get a successful piece of writing.
I´m looking forward to your wonderful works of art!!

OUR FIRST DAY IN CLASS
On our first day in class, we learned a lot about each other, met a lot of different people and also found out a lot of things about the teacher!!!
Here are some other things that we did:
SONG: LET HER GO (by Passenger)
Michael David Rosenber (born 17 May 1984), better known by his stage name Passenger, is an English folk-rock singer-songwriter. Previously the main vocalist and songwriter of Passenger, he opted to keep the band´s name for his solo work after the band dissolved in 2009.
We listened to his most successful single in class, "Let her go", which has topped the charts in many countries. Now you can listen to it as many times as you want!!!
WHAT DO YOU REMEMBER?
Our first class at school included a quick competition in groups about what students remembered from previous grammar and vocabulary.
What was your final score? Did you get 20 points? If not, please consider revising basic concepts from Basic 2!!

ORAL EXAM COMMENTS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
The oral exam is an opportunity for you to demonstrate your knowledge,
your speaking skills, as well as your ability to communicate.Take good advantage of it and make an amazing impression!!
Before
the exam practice you should try working with classmates or practising
in front of a mirror. It will help you to evaluate yourself and gain
self-confidence. If you find yourself anxious, take several slow, deep
breaths to relax and don't talk about the test to other students just
before entering the room. Remember that their anxiety can be
contagious!!
When
taking the exam do not forget to correct yourself if you make any
mistakes and always keep eye contact with your partner. Finally, remind
yourself that you are well-prepared and are going to do well.
I
have added a couple of documents with useful phrases and expressions
that you can use if you want to have some extra practice with a
classmate or with yourself, so don´t miss the entry below:
